This beautiful historic estate has been family owned for five generations and is Victoria’s oldest winery.This place is known as tabilk-tabilk, ‘place of many waterholes’ in the language of the Daung-wurrung clans, the indiginous first people; a name which perfectly describes the landscape.

The property is located in picturesque central Victoria Tabilk, a convenient ninety minute drive from Melbourne. Tahbilk Estate  is set on 1,214 hectares of rich river flats with a frontage of eleven kms to the Goulburn River. Tahbilk Estate provides a full package with many options for the ceremony and reception. Tahbilk provides a welcoming ambience for the whimsical, the aspiring to dream and those that love nature. Photographers love being creative and capturing all those special moments at venues with ideal  backdrops. This estate has many unique settings including couple preparations, through to the ceremony, portrait shots, and the reception. Images can be taken in all public areas of the winery; this includes the historic buildings, underground cellars with natural interlocked brickwork, Cellar Yard, Orchard Gardens, Tahbilk Cellar Door, Tahbilk Café, the oldest Shiraz vineyard, Tahbilk Wetlands and the banks of the Goulburn River, or guided by staff in the private rose garden adjacent to Cellar Yard.

Tahbilk Estate is renowned for delicious food, award winning wines.and boasts a beautiful venue with friendly and knowledgeable team members. The staff at Tahbilk are dedicated to making your big day a memorable one. The menu has been created to meet the demand for a more relaxed dining style at weddings, special events, or corporate bookings. Tahbilk Estate source all of the produce from the finest local producers, farmers and fishermen, all served in an informal and festive style. Tahbilk believes that food is about bringing people together to celebrate your wedding, event or other special occasion. It’s about creating a comfortable atmosphere where guests enjoy food served by their friendly and professional team.

Reception 

The Tahbilk Cafe caters for intimate weddings or special occasions from 30 guests seated to larger weddings of 120 guests, with enough room for a dancing area and band/entertainment. The exposed wooden beams and use of natural light in the café coupled with the deck outside overlooking the Tahbilk Wetlands make it the perfect setting. Talbilk, understand that  this is your special day and they welcome couples to decorate the space to their vision; decorations hanging from the wooden beams are a popular option.
