Place of the Moon Rising

The name Meelup originates from the Wadandi people and named Meelup ‘place of the moon rising’ because the full moon appears to rise out of the sea on a few days of the year.This venue overlooks Meelup Creek with historic Eucalyptus and Marri trees creating the idyllic backdrop for your wedding ceremony.Couples and their guests enjoy the relaxed ambience of this estate as they wander the grounds, and see farm animals, wildlife, also Meelup Beach is just a short stroll from the backyard.

Originally there was a stone and timber farmhouse that has made a major transformation into a modern rustic chic outdoor venue and restaurant. The white washed stone walls, high ceilings, decorative natural features, glass doorways, timber decking, opening to a beautiful outdoor setting allows your guests to view the spectacular night sky that fills with sparkling stars.

What an amazing venue! Was lucky enough to see a beautiful couple get married on New Years here, and also have a wonderful lunch today. Staff were fantastic, food was delicious and also got to see ‘Lizzie’ down at the water. Will be back for more food and cider, along with the glorious views.
