Daniel Learmont Couture is considered a maestro of bridal and special event gowns.

Daniel is renowned as a bridal designer and couturier who is widely acclaimed for his talented artistry, fine craftsmanship and classic influence.

The designs showcase timeless original gowns that speak volumes of romance. Each custom made gown features exquisite details, stunning beadwork, individual designs with elegant fabrics handcrafting every element of the design.

Early fashion influences

Daniel’s fashion world began at an early age from his grandmother who was an elegant country lady. Daniel fondly remembers her constantly busying herself with some kind of sewing or craft project. The beauty and singularity of his grandmother’s handmade garments had a lasting impression on the young Daniel, and is an integral part of his couture work to this day.

After graduating high school Daniel headed to Sydney, intent on pursuing a career in fashion. He began fashion studies at TAFE before being offered a position at one of Australia’s top bridal boutiques. The position offered Daniel hands on experience with made to measure gowns from some of Australia’s leading designers and gave him an inside understanding of the bridal, and evening wear industry. Daniel also continued to work on his own designs and before long he had built up a unique collection. Word of his impeccable craftsmanship began to spread and demand for his clothing was on the rise. In 2009 Daniel launched the label ‘Daniel Learmont Couture’.

“I have always been a fan of 50’s and 60’s Hollywood, the jet set lifestyle. I love the kind of clean, dramatic glamour of the period, strong silhouettes in luxurious fabrics like silk shantung, brocade, duchess satin and Chantilly lace” Daniel Learmont Couture’s creations have a sense of elegance combined with modern glamour.

Daniel Learmont Couture crafts custom made bridal gowns  with passion and creative spirit. and loves to work in collaboration with the client. Daniel listens to the concepts and dreams  and steps through each process with fine detail, from beginning to end.

Daniel Learmont Couture combines the best of old world glamour and modern stylish design, with hand sourced fine fabrics from around the globe to create stunning and original silhouettes. Daniel is known to work with Italian and French lace, creating a modern couture design. We design to compliment the clients curves and to match their individual personality.. “All my designs are custom made,”. “I offer a one-on-one experience for my clients. We have a chat over coffee and I find out what they have in mind. I have samples in my studio where they can get inspiration and ideas from and I create the dream gown that is an original. If brides to be want more from the experience Daniel loves to takes his clients fabric shopping to take part in the process of dressmaking. “There is a lot of collaboration between me and the client,” Daniel says. “Once they’ve decided on the type of dress, it is then my job to try my best to create a design that they want; one which will look amazing and one which they’ll love.”
